Graduation Procedure for the Bachelor of Chemistry Program

Credit Structure and Study Load

Students can graduate from the Chemistry Undergraduate Program by completing a minimum of 144 credits, as follows: 112 credits of compulsory courses, 32 credits of elective courses, 42 credits of elective courses, and 84 credits of elective courses.In general, this program is designed to be completed in four academic years (eight semesters), with a maximum study period of seven years.


The Semester Credit Unit (SKS) weighting for the latest courses is based on the rule that 1 credit unit is equivalent to 45 hours per semester (or approximately 170 minutes per week), including face-to-face sessions, structured assignments, and independent study. The learning load for each credit unit is regulated in the University of Lampung Rector's Regulation Number 19 of 2020 concerning Academic Regulations (Appendix X3), which includes:

  • 50 minutes of in-class instruction per week,

  • 60 minutes of structured assignments per week, and

  • 60 minutes of independent study per week.

This structure is tailored to the level of the program and student performance to ensure an effective and manageable learning experience.
