Graduation Procedure for the Bachelor of Chemistry Program
Credit Structure and Study Load
Students can graduate from the Bachelor of Chemistry Study Program after completing a minimum of 144 credits (SKS), including a 6-credit undergraduate thesis. In the first semester, students will follow a fixed package of 24 credits. The number of credits that can be taken in subsequent semesters is determined by the student's Grade Point Average (GPA). Students with lower GPAs have a limit on the number of credits they may take, while high-performing students may take the maximum allowed per semester.
In general, the program is designed to be completed in four academic years (eight semesters), with a maximum study period of seven years.
The credit weight of each course is determined based on input from stakeholders and relevant professional associations. The learning load per credit is regulated by the Rector's Regulation of Universitas Lampung Number 19 of 2020 on Academic Regulations (Appendix X3), comprising:
-
50 minutes of in-class instruction per week,
-
60 minutes of structured assignments per week, and
-
60 minutes of independent study per week.
This structure is tailored to the level of the program and student performance to ensure an effective and manageable learning experience.
