The establishment of the Chemistry Department as part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Lampung (Unila) began with a long -term plan for the development of Unila which was stated in the Decree (SK) of the Rector Number 34/KPTS/R/1986 concerning the Establishment of the FMIPA Preparation Committee.
