Warm greetings from IBCEx 2021!
It is our pleasure to invite the students from your university to join the 7th International Biotechnology Competition and Exhibition (IBCEx 2021) on 11th and 12th June 2021. This competition will be held virtually through an online platform.
IBCEx 2021 is an innovation competition organized by the Bioprocess Engineering Student Society (BIOSS), from the School of Chemical and Energy Engineering (SCEE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Bearing the same concept as the previous IBCEx 2020, this program is organized to provide a great opportunity for students from various local and international higher education institutions to compete and exhibit their creative innovations in the biotechnology field.
In this competition, with the theme “YOUTH EMPOWERMENT: INNOVATION FOR SUSTAINABLE FUTURE”, we offer three categories to undergraduate participants that are biotechnology, environment or waste treatment and green product or renewable energy, so that they can choose and showcase their best innovation under one of these categories.
In this IBCEx 2021 edition, for the first time, we would like to invite postgraduate participants to participate in one category which is biotechnology, green product or green technology. This competition provides a great platform for students, regardless of their background, to engage with other communities who share mutual interests and passion for research and innovation in the field of biotechnology.

We would be grateful if you could kindly help us in promoting this competition to your students through appropriate channels on your campus. Universities are welcomed to send a participating team that comprises 3 student participants and 1 chaperone.
